Filtration Products & Desiccant Breathers
REQUEST SERVICE

Filtering new and used oil—keeping it clean of particulates and moisture—will prolong the life of the oil and keep the equipment protected from wear. Studies have shown that as much as 70 percent of all premature machine failures can be attributed to contamination.

The key is to purify the new oil as it comes into the facility and keep it clean throughout its operating life. By establishing an ISO code cleanliness goal and maintaining it, you will extend the life of the oil and the equipment. Large and small particles are destructive to the bearings, gears and other components of your equipment.

By removing the particles, we can keep the equipment protected from abnormal wear. If you're looking to improve your current lubrication reliability efforts, a portable or dedicated filtration system—which is designed to screen the oil, removing large particulates and cleaning the oil of small particulates—is a must.

We carry a wide variety of hydraulic oil filtration products to meet our clients' specific needs:

Low-Pressure Filters

Each low-pressure hydraulic oil filter in our broad line performs optimally in return-line applications with working pressures up to 150 psi and static pressures up to 300 psi. In-tank and in-line configurations are available to accommodate virtually any industrial application.

Medium-Pressure Filters

Our filters are the highest-rated medium-pressure filters available in a spin-on configuration and are reliable, sturdy, long-lived and easy to install. Most often used as return-line filters, they're designed for working pressures up to 1000 psi and static pressures up to 2000 psi.

High-Pressure Filters

High-pressure filters help protect the most expensive components within a hydraulic system, typically the valves and actuators. They're designed with heavy-duty housings for working pressures of 2000–6000 psi.

Filter Assemblies & Replacement Cartridges

Along with our complete line of hydraulic filter heads and housings for low-, medium- and high-pressure applications, we offer a comprehensive line of replacement filters. Spin-ons and cartridges are available in your choice of media.

Reservoir Accessories

Reservoir accessories we offer include suction strainers, diffusers, level gauges, sight gauges, plugs, caps, vents, filter breather assemblies and breathers.

High-Viscosity Filter Cart

We offer handheld or portable systems. These systems are specifically designed for high-viscosity fluids associated mainly with gear oils. To ensure that the equipment receives the cleanest oil possible for increased equipment life, our filtration systems provide two-stage filtration. The oil flows through the primary filter first, where coarse particulate is removed. The fluid then flows through the secondary filter where fine particulate and water are removed.

Desiccant Breathers

A desiccant breather replaces the standard dust cap or OEM breather cap on fluid storage equipment, offering better filtration to protect against even the smallest particulates that destroy the effectiveness of your machinery and cause downtime and costly repairs. As air is drawn into equipment through the breather, the layered desiccant filter elements remove particulate while the desiccant beads strip harmful moisture. While in service or during shut-down, the desiccant beads attract moisture from inside the equipment reservoir, actively drying the equipment.

3 Key Properties of a Desiccant Breather

Desiccant breathers can help control both moisture and dirt ingression. A good desiccant breather system is one that:

  • Helps achieve the target level for cleanliness and dryness
  • Has the capacity to enable a sufficient service interval between changeouts
  • Is easily visible for routine inspection during preventive maintenance
